The Black è il più importante gruppo Heavy Doom Italiano, formato nel 1988 dall’ex Leader dei Requiem Mario “The Black” Di Donato personaggio storico e di culto del panorama Rock Internazionale , autore e compositore di tutti i testi e le musiche della Band, quotato pittore ed illustratore di libri e copertine di dischi, conosciuto ed apprezzato anche oltre confine. I The Black suonano un’Haevy Mistico Artistico cantato in lingua Latina con lo scopo di fondere Arte e Rock in un unico corpo; nel secondo albumdel 1990 “Infernus Paradisus et Purgatorium”, la Divina Commedia del sommo poeta Dante Alighieri viene parzialmente “rivisitata” con indubbio e “Manieristico stile… The Black”.

The Black is the most important Italian Heavy Doom band. The Band was founded in 1988 by Mario "The Bleck" Di Donato, former band leader of the Requiem, who is widely know on the international rock scene. Mario writes all the band's texts and music and he also works successfully as a painter and as an illustrator of books and CD covers. The Black play a mystic and artistic Heavy, which is sung in Latin to blend Rock and Art together. In the secondalbum of 1990, "Infernus Paradisus et Purgatorium" Dante's "Divine Commedy" is partly revisited in the "typical manneristic style of the Black"

The Black ist die wichtigste Gruppe des italienischen Heavy Doom. Mario "The Black" Di Donato, vormals Bandleader der "Requiem" und Kultfigur des internationalen Rockpanoramas gruendete 1988 die Band. Er schreibt alle Texte und Musiken, arbeitet aber auch erfolgreich als Maler und als illustrator von Buechern und CD-Covers, wodurch er auch ueber die italienischen Grenzen hinaus bekannt ist. Die "The Black" spielen einen kuenstleerischen, mystischen Heavy, gesngen in Latein, mit dem Ziel die Einheit von Kunst und Rock herzustellen. In ihrem zweiten Album " Infernus Paradisus et Purgatorium " aus dem Jahre 1990 wird Dante's Werk der "Goettliche Kommoedie" teilweise ueberarbeitet, ohne Zweifel im Stile der "The Black"
